Personal projects / 3D printing services in NJ

Big ideas. Small fixes. Made for you.

A part you cannot find. A design you want to hold. A printer that needs another chance. DDA helps you make things, fix your equipment, and get more out of your own setup.

Tell us about your project

No finished design or diagnosis needed.

01 / Have it made

You bring the idea. We bring the tools.

You do not need to own a printer to make something of your own. Start with a file, a sketch, an existing object, or a description. We can help develop the design and work out how to make it.

Replace the missing piece.

A broken fitting or discontinued component can hold up the whole repair. We can assess the original, develop a replacement, and check the fit.

Past projects: a washing-machine latch, a music-box foot, and a dining-table extension slider.

Make it fit your hobby.

Adapt a mount, make an accessory, or print a model you have been wanting to try. Tell us what it needs to fit and how you will use it.

Past projects: racing-simulator monitor mounts, bike light hardware, and a surfboard mount.

Put your design in your hands.

Have a digital model or an idea you want to test? Make a physical version, check the size and feel, and decide what to refine.

One piece is worth asking about. Design time, material, and the way a part will be used all affect what is practical. We will discuss the approach and cost before fabrication.

Ask about something you need made

02 / 3D printer repair & upgrades

More making. Less troubleshooting.

If every print has become another troubleshooting session, bring us the symptoms. We can work through the fault and discuss whether repair, an upgrade, or replacement makes sense.

Get help with your printer

Sound familiar?

  • “It keeps clogging.”
  • “The first layer never sticks.”
  • “It will not home or level.”
  • “It has been sitting unused.”

Tell us the printer model, what happens, and anything you have already tried. You do not need to know which part has failed.

From everyday printers to custom builds.

Experience includes Creality, Bambu Lab, Prusa, resin printers, and Voron / Klipper setups. Ask about your model.

03 / Your own setup

Start a hobby. Or take it further.

Get help with the decision, the first print, or the part you have not figured out yet.

Before you buy

Choose for what you want to make.

Compare printers against your projects, available space, materials, and budget. Think through the accessories and upkeep alongside the machine itself.

Once it is yours

Learn on your own machine.

Work one-on-one through file preparation, slicer settings, loading material, calibration, and routine care. Start with a project you actually want to make.

Already comfortable with the basics?

Talk through Klipper, a custom build, or hardware upgrades with someone who works on these machines. Start with what you want to improve.

The hard-to-categorize project

“Can you do something like this?”

That is a good opening question. A custom boat fitting, an unusual repair, a cut panel, or a design that needs more than one process—tell us what you have in mind. We can assess what is possible.

A few practical answers

Before you get in touch.

Personal projects, printer support, and hands-on guidance in New Jersey.

Can you make just one item?

Yes, one-off projects are welcome. The price depends on more than print time: design work, material, preparation, and finishing can all matter. Tell us what you need and we can discuss the scope.

Do I need a CAD file?

No. A sketch, an existing part, or a description is enough to start a conversation. Making an accurate part may require measurements, design work, or access to the original object. If you already have a file, let us know.

Can every broken part be 3D printed?

No. Fit, strength, temperature, wear, and the consequences of failure affect whether a replacement is suitable. We will assess the application and discuss the process and material. Some parts are better purchased or made another way.

Can you help with a printer I bought elsewhere?

Yes. Share the brand, model, symptoms, and any modifications. We support a range of FDM, resin, and custom printers; the model, fault, and parts availability determine the practical options.

What will it cost, and how long will it take?

That depends on the job, design work, materials or replacement parts, and current workload. Include any budget or deadline in your first message so we can discuss feasibility, scope, timing, and cost.

How do I arrange service?

Contact us with your location and what you need help with. We will discuss the service arrangement before you bring in a machine or part.
