Custom laser engraving.
Give it your mark.

Your logo on a display. A name on a gift. Clear labels on a custom panel.

We engrave text and artwork into suitable materials, with laser cutting available when the piece needs its own shape, too. Bring a design or tell us what you have in mind.

A few possibilities

What should
your piece say?

Starting points to discuss, with each design and material reviewed before production.

FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Put your brand on it.

Logos on display pieces, branded tags, and small promotional items. Tell us the quantity and how the item will be used.

FOR SOMEONE ELSE

Make it personal.

Names, dates, short messages, and original artwork for gifts or keepsakes. Share the object you have in mind before buying blanks.

FOR A WORKING PART

Make it readable.

Labels, legends, and orientation marks on custom panels or fixtures. Show us what needs to be read and where it belongs.

The surface matters

Same artwork.
Different character.

Engraving changes the surface of the material. It is not full-color printing. The material and finish determine the color, texture, and contrast of the mark.

Wood

Selected laser-compatible wood and plywood for lettering, decorative pieces, and signs. Grain and composition can change the appearance across the design.

Send the species or product link.

Acrylic

For display pieces, tags, and custom panels. The acrylic type and color affect how the engraved artwork reads against the surrounding surface.

Tell us the color and intended use.

Leather

Leather and verified laser-compatible faux leather for patches, tags, or personalized pieces. The exact product and finish need review.

“Vegan leather” is not a material specification.

Something else?

Send the exact material or supplier link. Polycarbonate needs an individual process review. Metal, glass, PVC/vinyl, ABS, Coroplast, paper, card, and unidentified plastics are outside this laser service.

Have a round object?

Our Full Spectrum Laser Muse 3D has a rotary attachment for suitable round objects. Material compatibility still applies. Send a photo, material, diameter, length, and the area you want engraved. Shape, handles, and mounting clearance can affect whether it will fit.

Laser engraving + laser cutting

Cut the shape.
Engrave the detail.

Illustrative tag layout, not a finished product.

The outline and the artwork can belong to the same job.

A shaped sign with your logo. A tag with a hole and a name. A panel with openings and readable labels. We can review both operations together so the design accounts for the finished piece.

In your file, separate the outlines to cut from the areas to engrave. Include overall dimensions in millimeters and identify any critical hole or label positions.

Explore laser cutting

From artwork to object

A good mark starts
before the laser.

You do not need production-ready artwork to ask. A sketch, reference, or clear description is enough to begin discussing the work.

Send what you have.

Vector SVG or PDF is useful for logos and lettering. PNG or JPG can be a starting point for image-based artwork. DWG and DXF can help when engraving belongs on a dimensioned part.

Include the intended engraving size in mm. Small text and fine lines may need simplifying at the final size.

Show us the object.

For a supplied item, send a photo, dimensions, and material or product link before bringing it in. Flat work uses a nominal 508 × 305 mm bed; usable space depends on the item and setup.

Object height and access to the marking area matter, too. Bed dimensions alone do not establish fit.

Agree on the result.

We review placement, material, quantity, and any artwork preparation before quoting. Confirm the wording and agreed layout before production.

If a material sample or test piece is needed, that work belongs in the agreed scope.

No artwork yet?

Tell us the message, approximate size, and look you want. We can discuss the design preparation needed for your project.

Before you send it

A few practical answers.

How much does laser engraving cost?

Material, engraving area, detail, quantity, setup, and artwork preparation all affect the quote. Include the object or material, approximate marking size, quantity, and target date. A large filled design can take more processing time than simple lettering.

Can I ask for just one item?

Yes, you can inquire about a single piece or a batch. Setup and design preparation affect the price of a one-off job. For several items, tell us whether the artwork repeats or each piece needs different text.

Can you engrave something I already own?

Possibly. We need to review its material, finish, shape, and dimensions first. Tell us if it is irreplaceable or has sentimental value so we can discuss suitability and whether a sample is available before accepting it.

Can you engrave a photograph or a detailed logo?

Send the original file for review. The source image, final size, detail, and material all affect readability. Photo engraving needs an individual assessment; a screen preview cannot guarantee the result on the object.

Can engraving reproduce my brand colors?

Engraving alone does not reproduce a full-color logo. If you need colored lettering or a graphic applied to a surface, our custom vinyl decals may be a better fit. Tell us the surface and how it will be used.

Do you work with customers outside New Jersey?

Yes. DDA supports customers across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the Northeast. Include your location and deadline so collection or delivery arrangements can be discussed.
